I got into social media by default. I was furloughed from my job when the pandemic hit. The lockdown did not make it easy to find a job anywhere else except online. So here begins my discovery of the virtual world.
I joined the Virtual Expert Training program where I had the opportunity to subcontract for one of the certified VE (Virtual Experts®️) as a social media manager.
My journey
Having no prior experience in this field, I did everything hands on. It was pretty much… what needs to be done, Google how it’s done then do it! The more I got into social media, the more I realized I actually enjoyed it and yay I can be paid for it! (happy dance)
I personally feel that there is a sense of fulfillment in telling stories online to shine the light on the accomplishments of hard working, busy professionals (just like you) to let the public know that you exist, are an expert in your field and are available to help.
